New boilers in Bolton
New boiler installation in Bolton
Old boiler on its last legs, or tired of paying to keep it going? We fit combi, system and conventional boilers across Bolton, sized to your home and the way you use hot water, not to whatever is on offer that week.

Choosing a boiler
Which type of boiler do you need?
There are three main types. The right one depends on how many bathrooms you have, how much hot water you use at once, and what's already in the house. We'll recommend one at the survey and explain why.
Combi boiler
Heats water straight from the mains when you turn a tap on, with no tank or cylinder. Suits most flats and homes with one bathroom, and frees up the airing cupboard.
System boiler
Heats a hot water cylinder but needs no tanks in the loft. A good fit for homes with two or more bathrooms, where showers and taps get used at the same time.
Conventional boiler
Also called a regular or heat-only boiler. Works with a cylinder and a cold water tank in the loft, and is often the sensible choice in older homes already set up that way.
From survey to switch-on
How a new boiler installation works
-
Survey
We look at your home, your hot water use, where the boiler sits and where the flue can go. [Owner to confirm: free, no obligation.]
-
Written quote
You get a price in writing that says exactly what's included, so you know what you're paying before we start.
-
Installation
A straight swap is usually done in a day. Changing the type of system or moving the boiler takes longer, and we'll tell you how long up front.
-
Handover
We show you how the boiler and controls work, register the warranty with the manufacturer, and notify Building Control for you.
Done properly
What comes with a new boiler
A new boiler is only as good as the system it's connected to. Fit it to dirty pipework and old controls, and you'll lose some of the efficiency you paid for, and possibly the warranty with it.
So the quote covers the work around the boiler as well as the boiler itself, and it's all in writing before we start.
Every installation includes
- Removal and disposal of the old boiler
- The heating system cleaned and treated with inhibitor
- A magnetic filter to catch sludge before it reaches the boiler
- Controls that meet current regulations
- Full commissioning and the Benchmark checklist completed
- Building Regulations notification through Gas Safe
- Manufacturer warranty registered for you
Boilers we fit
We install boilers from the main manufacturers, including:
- Worcester Bosch
- Baxi
- Viessmann
- Vaillant
About warranties
Warranty length depends on the boiler model and on who fits it, and some manufacturers offer longer cover through their own approved installers. Rather than put a headline number here, we'll tell you exactly what warranty comes with the boiler we quote for, in writing.
Questions
New boiler FAQs
How much does a new boiler cost?
It depends on the boiler, the type of system and how much work is needed around it. A straight combi swap costs less than converting a conventional system or moving the boiler. You'll get a fixed written price after the survey. [Owner to confirm: "from" price, if he wants one shown.]
How long does it take to fit a new boiler?
A like-for-like swap is usually done in a day. Converting to a combi, changing the system or moving the boiler to a new spot typically takes two to three days. You'll know the timescale before we start.
Can you move my boiler somewhere else?
Usually, yes. The limits are where the flue can exit and where the condensate pipe can drain. We'll check both at the survey and tell you what's possible.
Should I get a combi or a system boiler?
If you have one bathroom and decent mains water pressure, a combi is usually the simplest choice. If you have two or more bathrooms that get used at the same time, a system boiler with a cylinder will cope better. We'll talk it through at the survey.
What warranty will I get?
It depends on the make and model. We'll put the exact warranty in writing with your quote and register it with the manufacturer once the boiler is fitted. Keep it valid by having the boiler serviced every year.
Do you offer finance?
[Owner to confirm.]
Will you deal with Building Regulations?
Yes. A new gas boiler has to be notified to the local council. As a Gas Safe registered business we do that through the Gas Safe Register, and you'll receive a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate in the post. Keep it, as you'll need it if you ever sell the house.
